“My sister stayed here for one night after completing her Vipassana course. The entire family was very compassionate and considerate of her needs, providing warm water for her bottle, cooking the food that she likes, and sharing about their culture. They also took her to participate in the Losar festival at a nearby monastery. The food, especially the millet roti and the lapsi fruit pickle were excellent. The area is near the wildlife sanctuary and has a lot of birds. She recommends this homestay.”

“Dear fellow travelers, I want to share my experience at Mountain View, homestay at Tintek village, with the family of Ratna Bhadur, Tika Pandey, and their lovely daughter Punum. I always like to live at homes in the local communities, and this was truly home. The warmth and the hospitality and the welcome into the family space was true grace. I signed up for Vipasaana at Dhamma Sineru a 20min walk down the hill to the center. It was a wonderful start to be the family before the discipline of a 10 day Vipasaana meditation. “This place is a hidden gem in the middle of Sikkim's gorgeous mountains. Punam and her family will take great care of you and feed you delicious meals with some of the best organic food you can find in the region, harvested on their beautiful farm. All the while, you can enjoy a breathtaking view while sipping your tea or coffee on the terrace. The spacious, comfortable and clean rooms guarantee a good night's sleep! My only advice would be to bring warm clothes during winter, as the mountains can be quite cold ! If you happen to forget or underestimate it, though, there are plenty of covers and duvets to keep you warm. Thank you for these beautiful and peaceful days, these remain among my best memories 🙏”

“It is a very good place with scenic beauty, very good food vegetarian family cooked food with extreme hygiene, all food produced within its premises organically all fresh vegetables, including milk etc of cows nurtured by the owner. Rooms are very comfortable neat and clean.. I love this place, if God gives me chance to come to Sikkim , I will like to stay at this place again and again... “We had a great experience of rural life of Sikkim. The hosts treated us like their family members. From balcony there is an excellent view of hills and valleys. We could enjoy vegetables grown locally. Please note that to reach the house one has to climb up through a fairly steep staircase. Vehicles can't reach up to the house. If you are young and energetic this shouldn't be an issue. On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”
