From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made me feel at home. The resort has a cozy, elegant charm with thoughtfully designed interiors that blend modern comfort with a local Sikkimese touch. My room was spacious, clean, and had large windows that opened up to breathtaking mountain views — perfect for a peaceful retreat. One of the highlights was sipping a cup of local tea while watching the sunrise over the Himalayas from the balcony. The calmness of the surroundings, the crisp mountain air, and the bird songs all added to the relaxing ambiance. The food served was delicious — fresh, homemade, and tailored to my preferences. I also appreciated how the resort offers a sense of exclusivity and privacy, making it ideal for couples, solo travelers, or anyone looking to disconnect from the hustle of city life and reconnect with nature. “We are a group of family and friends and had stayed in the property for 3 nights from 22nd Dec to 25th Dec. The property is very secluded and offers ample space to move around. The property covers a vast area, but still it is well maintained. The rooms are pretty good but there is definitely room for improvement. The owner of the property, Debanjan Mitra is responsive and I am sure he will look into some of the important loopholes I have highlighted about the rooms (liquid handwash, hot water in wash basins, bed-warmers and a wardrope). The rooms are spacious and clean and offers magnificient view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. The restaurant is pretty good and Kzang is very cooperative. The food quality and quantity are also pretty good. Most importantly, the food is not overpriced despite the resort being quite remote. For birdwatchers, the property will get good opportunity to capture some of the himalayan birds like Green-tailed Sunbird, Rufous Sibia, Blue-fronted Redstart, Yuhina, Sikkim Treecreeper and many more. I definitely recommend this place for a visit, especially for those who are planning for Rinchenpong, Chayataal and Hee-Patal.”
