HOW TO REACH FROM DELHI 2.5 hours direct (IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet - ₹3,000–6,000) Delhi has the most frequent flights to Guwahati. Book 2-3 weeks ahead for best prices. Early morning flights get you to Shillong by afternoon. BEST TIME: October–May. Best river clarity at Dawki: November–March. GETTING THERE: Fly to Guwahati (GAU). Delhi 2.5hrs, Kolkata 1hr, Bangalore 3.5hrs. WHAT TO PACK: Layered clothing, rain jacket, trekking shoes, power bank, ₹5,000–8,000 cash (UPI only works in Shillong).
