The host/owner was extremely polite and helpful, and everything was served and managed very well. The property is perfect for those seeking a relaxing and peaceful getaway. Shnongpdeng, the location of the property, is best visited during the winter season. During the summer or the rainy season, the weather can become quite hot and humid. However, the cozy and comfortable atmosphere of the property ensures a great experience regardless of when you visit.”

“We had a great experience at this homestay. It is beautifully located and is one of the best homestays in Shnongpdeng. Water activities are very close to the property and can be reached within a 10-minute walk. They provided a very good breakfast (pasta, bread with butter, omelette, and tea), which was the best breakfast we had during our entire Meghalaya trip. The owner is very sweet, and we had a lovely conversation with him in the morning, along with his two pets. The homestay is suitable for 4–5 people. Book this homestay—I hope you will like it!”

“We had a lovely stay at this property, Shnongpedeng. Mr. Wanshan is a wonderful host — very warm, caring, and hospitable. The homestay is beautifully located near the Umngot River, peaceful and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully served. He even arranged a cozy bonfire for us in the evening and shared interesting insights about the local culture and community. Special mention to his adorable dogs Milo and Luci, who made our stay even more memorable, especially for our child. A perfect place to relax and experience true Meghalayan hospitality. “We stayed at this property on 15.01.2026 for one night. It was lovely experience altogether. Though the room size is small but it is very cozy and comfortable. The location is about 10 mins walking distance from Shongpdong riverside. It is maintained very well . The main thing that I loved was theOwners humble and warm behaviour. Both Sir and his wife are lovely people and wonderful hosts. Sir also arranged for a very scrumptious breakfast for us.”
