What about why stay in a homestay instead of a hotel in mukteshwar?

Most of Mukteshwar's actual draw, orchard walks, the old Chauli Ki Jaali viewpoint, quiet mornings with a mountain view from your window, is something a home delivers more directly than a hotel built for volume. Hosts here tend to be families who moved from cities and know the area well, useful for anything from a good local guide to the honest answer on whether a road is worth the drive in monsoon.

What about 1. [14-bedroom whole-property homestay in mukteshwar](/listings/14-bedroom-house-with-valley-and-mountain-views-in-mukteshwar)?

The most reviewed home in this cluster, sized for a large family trip or a multi-family group booking the whole house.

What about 2. [18-bedroom whole-property villa with a pool, dungsil malla](/listings/forest-villa-w-wildlife-and-pool-uttarakhand)?

A pool is genuinely rare at this altitude, the standout feature on an otherwise large, forest-set property built for a big group.

What about 3. [13-bedroom resort with games and valley views, bhimtal](/listings/spacious-resort-w-valley-views-and-games-uk)?

Closer to Bhimtal lake than Mukteshwar town, with indoor games on-site, a fit for a group that wants activities built in rather than driving out for them.

What about 4. [15-bedroom hilltop cottage with snow-peak views, mukteshwar](/listings/hilltop-cottage-w-snow-peak-views-uttarakhand)?

The highest-rated home on this list and priced to match, positioned for travellers who want an upscale stay over Mukteshwar's usual homestay standard.

What about 5. [18-bedroom whole-property house in mukteshwar](/listings/mukteshwar-uttarakhand-house-views-adventure)?

Large enough for a wedding party or company offsite without splitting across two properties.

What about 6. [28-cottage property with husky treks, dungsil malla](/listings/28-cottages-w-himalayan-views-husky-treks-uk)?

The one property on this list with its own husky-trek activity on offer, Fursat's biggest cottage cluster in the Kumaon region.

What about 7. [18-bedroom villa in dungsil malla](/listings/fabulous-interior-villa-w-views-uttarakhand)?

A large villa with mountain views, a straightforward pick if the pool and husky-trek properties above are already full.

What about 8. [5-bedroom whole-property house with valley views, kausani](/listings/five-bedroom-house-with-valley-views-in-kausani)?

Kausani is the furthest of these towns from Mukteshwar itself but has its own well-known Himalayan panorama; this house is a smaller, whole-property option there.

What about 9. [44-bedroom property with valley views, kausani](/listings/house-with-valley-view-in-kausani)?

By far the largest single property across this whole list, built for events and very large groups rather than a typical family trip.

What about 10. [3-bedroom house with mountain views, kausani](/listings/house-with-mountain-view-in-kausani)?

The smallest, most intimate option on this list, a fit for a couple or a small family wanting a quieter Kausani stay.

What about 11. [5-bedroom resort with lake boating, dungsil malla](/listings/lake-view-resort-w-boating-uttarakhand)?

The only property on this list with boating on offer, next to a lake rather than the usual orchard-and-valley setting.

What about 12. [14-bedroom log-cabin cottages with nanda devi views, mukteshwar](/listings/log-cabin-cottages-w-nanda-devi-views)?

Log-cabin-style rooms with a direct Nanda Devi sightline, the specific view Mukteshwar is best known for.
