“We initially booked this stay as it was closer to a lot of great spots that we wanted to visit in and around Cherrapunji (Sohra). Little did we know that this stay will become the best part of our trip to North East! We were lost in Shillong with no idea how to get to Cherrapunji without paying the taxi guys some unreasonable sum. So we just texted the homestay owner RD, and he helped us out by suggesting to get the shared sumos and on top of that when we reached Cherrapunji he picked us up as well in the evening and later offered us to take us to a great spot nearby for some local food. The room was very clean and well kept, they provided us with breakfast in the morning. Towards the end of our 4 day stay, he brought out his horses (after we found out he had the coolest hobby of riding and taking care of 4 horses!). He introduced us to them and took them for a walk and even rode one of the horses (Stem) as he walked her. It was such a wonderful experience. Both RD and his wife Misina were really kind hosts and helped us so much throughout our stay. We had lots of great conversations and really connected with them. Whenever we might visit Meghalaya, we're definitely going to pay them a visit! I highly recommend this stay! Thank you so much for having us!❤️✨”

“100/10! Staying here was the best part of my 10-day Northeast trip! The hosts Rynkatdor (a.k.a RD) & his wife Misina are the sweetest people ever, they were so caring & really helpful. We were worried how to get to Cherrapunji from Shillong, as most taxis were quoting us ₹2500+ just to take us, so I messaged RD & asked him if he can help us. He guided us and told me where to get shared Sumos to Cherrapunji for 150rs/person! RD spoke to the driver as well, and he came & picked us up from the stop nearby. He took us to a small tea stall nearby because we wanted to eat only local food, we ended up eating eating there on all 3 days hehe. The homestay is situated on a beautiful open plain with a small waterfall nearby (it was dried up when we went in the winter, so we will visit again in spring/fall), it is close to the Wei Sawdong waterfall & not too far from the Double decker trekking point. The rooms and the bedsheets, blankets, towels provided were all clean. The bathroom had hot water. That was a big relief, the hosts were amazing as well and we had a great time speaking with them. On day 2, RD surprised us by telling us that he has 4 horses & he loves horse riding!! We were so excited, he brought the horses to our stay on day 3 and took us on them and we took photos & had a great time. I would recommend booking his homestay blindly, he is a great person, very hardworking, dedicated, caring & you can trust him! He used to work as a guide before, so he can take you in his taxi as well. We will be visiting them again for sure! Thank you RD & Misina for hosting us! 💛🥰”
