I recently stayed at Aarti Homestay in Ranju Valley, located between Mungpoo and Darjeeling. Just a short distance from Darjeeling, the "Queen of the Hills," this serene retreat offers the perfect escape from the noise and chaos of city life. If you find Darjeeling too crowded, Ranju Valley is a refreshing alternative. The rooms at this homestay are on par with those of any 3-star hotel, and the views from the balcony at dawn and dusk are simply surreal. For nature lovers, there are ample opportunities for trail walks to nearby waterfalls, which are as picturesque as they come. Sitting on the balcony at night, you can even hear the soothing sound of waterfalls in the distance—a truly magical experience. The homestay is owned by Mr. Firoj Tamang, whose warm hospitality and welcoming demeanor will leave a lasting impression. The food served here is simple, homely, and prepared with minimal oil and spices, making it both delicious and comforting. I’ve stayed at this property twice and am already looking forward to many more memorable stays. I’ve shared some images of the stunning Ranju Valley and the view from the balcony with this review. I was so captivated by the natural beauty that I forgot to take photos of the room!

Had a very good experience while staying here. The room had a wonderful view, you can get a mountain sunrise right from your bed. The room looks as good as any 4 star hotels. The food was delicious and it was home cooked with all organic items. Every supporting staff were attentive and all of our request were served. A very family friendly place overall. Would definitely recommend this place if someone want to unpack and be with nature for a while.
