Most Meghalaya itineraries are either too rushed (3 days to cover everything, you see half of it from a car window) or over-engineered (14 days that nobody actually has). Seven days starting from Guwahati is the sweet spot: one week covers Shillong, Cherrapunji, the Double Decker trek, Dawki, and Mawlynnong at a pace that leaves time to sit in cafes and walk village trails.
