BEST TIME: April-October (dry season). April-June best for island hopping - calm seas, good visibility. DIVING: Gili Islands have incredible diving - underwater statues, turtle reefs. PADI Open Water certification available (add INR 25,000-35,000). BOATS: Pre-book fast boats between islands. Nusa Penida to Gili T is 1.5-2.5 hrs. Last boats back are around 4-5 PM. GILI TRAWANGAN: No motorized vehicles. Bicycles and horse carts only. Rent a bike (INR 270-430/day). VISA: Free VoA for Indians (30 days). Apply e-VoA at molina.imigrasi.go.id. CURRENCY: 1 INR = ~185 IDR. FOOD: Gili T night market has amazing grilled seafood (INR 430-810). Ubud and Canggu have great cafe culture.
