“Staying at this property was one of the most peaceful and soul-stirring experiences I’ve ever had. Nestled amidst the lush hills of Jakhama, Nagaland, it feels like a sanctuary far away from the noise of the world. The view from each of the cottages is simply breathtaking, and the mountain air makes you feel instantly rejuvenated. The hosts Aphre and Atanu were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The local food was delicious, especially the traditional Naga dishes made with organic ingredients during the picnic at the paddy fields. If you ever visit their cafe don't miss their speciality - chicken chow hakka style. The entire place radiates simplicity, serenity, and connection with nature. If you’re looking for a quiet escape, meaningful conversations by the bonfire, and treks that take you to untouched landscapes—this is the place to be. this property is not just a stay; it’s an experience for the soul. A hidden gem in the hills of Nagaland.”

“Absolutely perfect homestay! The food was hands down the best we had on our entire trip, the cabins were spotless, and the views were breathtaking. The real highlight was the service – Aphre welcomed us the moment we arrived and took care of us incredibly, making sure everything was perfect. She helped us organize everything for our trip, including a jeep from the hotel to Dzuzoku Valley with a guide, and even packed a perfect breakfast for our day. And we can’t forget Elsa, the adorable dog who made our stay even more delightful! The combination of privacy, comfort, and outstanding hospitality made this an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!”

“Wonderful place to spend your vacations. Peaceful calm and perfect to forget your worries and enjoy nature. Helpful owner and staff. They can transform any day into memorable with born fire Karaoke barbeque and food. I am very thankful to them for organising village picnic. That was so relaxing and unique for a city dwellwe like me. Highly recommended because they are professional and service from heart.”

“The location is set on hilly terrain and can be a bit challenging to reach, but once you arrive, the ambience makes it worthwhile. The cottages are well maintained, the staff are courteous, and the lush green surroundings are truly refreshing. We visited in the first week of December, and the weather was quite cold, adding to the overall experience.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Dzokou Retreat, Zakhama, Nagaland during this year’s Hornbill Festival was truly unforgettable. Surrounded by splendid natural beauty, the place felt peaceful and refreshing. The food was delicious, the ambience warm and soothing, and the staff incredibly kind and attentive. The short trekking experience was deeply meaningful and gave us the true essence of the location. The bonfire arranged for us was a beautiful touch that made our evenings extra special. A stay that touched the heart and stayed in memory.”
