Getting there.

The nearest airport is Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL), approximately 125 km away. This is the primary air hub for reaching Ladakh.
From Leh, you can hire a private cab or take a shared taxi to Hunder. The drive typically takes around 4-5 hours, navigating through mountain passes.
There is no direct railway station in Ladakh. The nearest major railhead is Jammu Tawi (JAT), which is over 700 km away.
From Jammu Tawi, travelers typically take an overnight bus or train to Srinagar or Manali, and then a cab or bus to Leh, followed by transport to Hunder.
Local buses from Leh to Hunder are available, but their frequency can be limited. It is advisable to check schedules in advance.
The journey involves crossing Khardung La pass, which is a high-altitude road. Ensure you are acclimatized to the altitude before traveling.
