The nearest airport is Bhuntar (KUU), about 30km from Kasol. Chandigarh (IXC) is a further fallback, 285km away, with an approximate 9-hour drive via Mandi. The nearest railhead is Pathankot, 250km away, a drive of around 7 hours. Bhuntar is the main road junction for the Parvati valley.

The best seasons are March to June and September to November. July and August can bring landslides due to the monsoon. Winters are cold but the valley remains accessible.
