A taxi ride from the airport typically takes 4.5 to 5.5 hours to reach us. • 🚂 By Train: The nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) in Siliguri, West Bengal, located about 130 km from our location. Taxis are readily available from NJP, with a journey time of around 4.5 to 5.5 hours. • 🚕 Private Taxi: From both Bagdogra Airport and NJP, private taxis are the most convenient option. You can book a direct cab to Barnyak, Sikkim, for a comfortable and scenic journey. • 🚌 Shared Transfers: For budget travelers, shared jeeps or buses are available from Siliguri/Jorethang to Gyalshing, from where local taxis can be arranged to Barnyak. The journey involves multiple legs but is very economical. • 🚗 Self-Drive: If you prefer driving, follow NH10 towards Sikkim, then take state highways towards Gyalshing and Barnyak. The roads offer beautiful views but can be winding in parts.
