The best time to visit is from October to mid-June. The skies are clear, offering good views, and the weather is pleasant. Winter (December-January) is cold but often very clear. Spring (March-April) brings rhododendrons into bloom.
The monsoon season runs from late June to September. Heavy rains can cause landslides, leading to road closures on NH10 and the Pankhabari road. Travel during this time can be unpredictable.
