What about the rules the canton states?

A 90 day cap. Since 1 April 2018 the canton's implementing regulation of its law on demolition, transformation and renovation of housing (RDTR) has regulated short-stay letting. After a court decision in April 2019 the cap moved from 60 to 90 days a year for making a whole home available through a platform. Beyond 90 days the use is a change of use (commercial activity), which is prohibited.

What about what the source does not say?

It does not state fees, a registration number system, or the process to apply for the PCTN authorisation. It does not describe the rule for letting individual rooms while you live in the home, other cantons or the federal housing office's guidance, because we could not read those pages. Income tax treatment is also not covered.

Is there a national Swiss registry?

We did not find one in the source we read. The Geneva page deals with cantonal law only.
