What about what the law requires?

The NTAK site says that under current law you may provide accommodation in Hungary only if the accommodation:

What about how ntak registration works?

Registration is electronic only for every accommodation, catering outlet and tourist attraction. You register in two steps: first the provider's master data and the service locations, then the sector-specific details of each accommodation. The NTAK generates a unique NTAK registration number, which must be shown on every online accommodation portal along with the accommodation type.

What about reporting and inspection?

Your software sends daily statistical data within 24 hours of the day concerned and monthly data by the 5th of the following month. The local notary (jegyzo) checks NTAK registration and reporting. If you operate unregistered, the notary can ban the operation with immediate effect and impose a fine.

What about what the pages do not state?

They do not state fees for the trade authority notification, tourist tax, or the approved list of software. Ask your local notary and your tax advisor.

Do I need software to run a small guesthouse?

The NTAK page says accommodation must use accommodation management software that sends the data.

Do I need to report days when I have no guests?

Yes. The duty applies every day, whether or not the property was open or had guests.

What is the registration number used for?

It must be shown on every online accommodation portal together with the accommodation type.

What about once you are registered?

Registration makes you legal. Distribution makes you earn. If you plan to list on several booking sites, keep one registration number and one calendar in sync across all of them: the free channel manager guide explains how calendar sync works and where it falls short. Fursat's own guest inventory is in India, so if you also run a property there, start at /list-your-property. New to hosting in general?
