What about where eturista stands?

The ministry lists the current state as: the amendment is ready for the Chamber of Deputies; basic functions are in internal testing; a development phase is planned after the amendment is approved, to match the final legislation; and an EU working group of member states meets regularly on implementing Regulation 2024/1028.

What about what the sources do not say?

We did not read the draft amendment itself, any fee, any registration number format, or the guest-reporting and local-fee rules that already apply to Czech accommodation providers. We also did not read municipal rules for Prague or other cities. Those are real obligations; this post does not describe them.

Do I need a registration number to list a Czech property today?

According to the ministry's own statement, no registration procedure currently applies in the Czech Republic. That statement is explicitly subject to change.

When will registration start?

The sources do not give a date. The ministry ties the next phase to approval of the Act 159/1999 amendment by the Chamber of Deputies.

Can my town restrict short-term rentals?
