- Renewal: the registration is renewed every five years. - Loan interest subsidy: the department reimburses 100 percent of the interest on a bank loan for refurbishing the rooms, for up to 3 years, on loans up to Rs 3 lakh per room and Rs 15 lakh per unit. What about what this means for village and farmhouse owners?

If your home is inside a municipal limit, such as a city or town, this scheme does not apply to you. Check whether your plot falls under a Gram Panchayat. For farmhouses and village homes, the loan subsidy and rural tax exemptions are the real reasons to register, and the Rs 200 fee makes the decision easy.

How many rooms can a Haryana homestay have?

Up to 5 rooms, all in one house, with the owner or family living there.

Can I register a homestay inside a city?

The scheme applies to the whole state except areas inside municipal corporations, councils and committees, so a home in those areas is outside it.
