What about the process, as the portal describes it?

1. Register and log in. Create an account and verify your mobile number and email. 2. Submit the application. Fill in the property details and upload the required documents. 3. DTO inspection. The District Tourism Officer carries out an on-site inspection of your property. 4. DLC approval. The District Level Committee reviews and approves the application. 5. Get your certificate. You receive the official homestay registration certificate.

What about what the portal does not state?

The page does not list application fees, a maximum number of rooms, whether the owner must live on the property, or the documents you need to upload. Those details sit in the underlying scheme or order, which we could not retrieve from an official source. So, if you read a number for any of these on a blog or a forum, treat it as unconfirmed until the department confirms it.

What about contact points the portal gives?

- Helpdesk phone: 0866-2555525 or 0866-2555524, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. - Helpdesk email: helpdesk at aptdc.in, with a stated response within 24 hours.

What about how to prepare, in general terms?

These are general steps and not requirements stated by the portal:

What about what this means for visakhapatnam and araku owners?

Tourist belts such as Visakhapatnam, Araku Valley and the Godavari districts are where homestay supply is growing. Because the public page is silent on the rules, the safest step is to ask your DTO for the scheme order itself, and to confirm the room cap and fees before you build or refurbish.

How do I register a homestay in Andhra Pradesh?

Through the state homestay portal at homestays.ap.gov.in. You create an account, submit the application with documents, pass a District Tourism Officer inspection, get District Level Committee approval and receive your certificate.

How long is the certificate valid?

The portal says two years from approval.

How long does it take?

The portal says 15 to 30 days after you submit your documents.

What does registration cost?

The portal page does not state a fee. Ask the helpdesk or your District Tourism Officer.

How many rooms can an Andhra Pradesh homestay have?

The portal page does not state a limit. Confirm it with the department before applying.

We recommend registering on the central NIDHI portal as well. It is a separate registration.

What about once you are registered?

Registration makes you legal. Distribution makes you earn. Fursat lists your home and keeps your calendars in sync across the major booking sites. Start at /list-your-property, or read how the free channel manager works first.
