“The living room is amazingly warm with plenty of sunshine and a cute little dog name zse. Triple lovely for me because i came in winter and it’s freezing outside. Local toilet is very clean and doesn’t smell at all. Thumbs up. The owner rigzen is a spectacular cook, his momo and topa are crazily good. Must try. To remember: airtrl doesnt work here, ask for wifi.”

“Staying with Sonam and his parents was a truly wonderful experience. The room was clean and comfortable as well as the shared bathroom. But what makes this place feeling like home was the hospitality and warmth of the host family. They make sure you get everything you need and spoil you with delicious home cooked food with vegetables from their own garden. A place where I really want to come back to - also because Sonam is a very interesting person to talk to! Wishing you all the best!”

“Lovely homestay, stayed for 3 nights. Welcoming and friendly family. Plenty of English spoken, tea flows freely and cooking is great. The room I had was big and nicely decorated. The bed has a good mattress and warm blankets. The balcony provides a nice place to relax and good view towards the mountains. The house is well kept and nights are quiet. You can choose between traditional Ladakhi toilet or the western variety. Just when I arrived, wifi dongle also came via Amazon which is nice since my Airtel did not work in Zangla. Remember to tell that you want to visit the old palace, you will get a set of keys!”

“The best reviews are born where your soul lingers long after you’ve left. This place run by Rigzin dorjay , his wife this property and kids was a gem of a find . We stayed for two nights . Their place is motorable all the way upto last 40 m in zangla town. Awesome hospitality and great home cooked food . They have 3-4 rooms with a common western style toilet and a large kitchen and sit-out on the first floor of the building. The show stopper was their pet dog , who refused to let us leave .and affectionately tailed us !”
