We had a wonderful 4-day stay at this property house as a family. We booked both a tent and a room, and everything was clean, comfortable, and well arranged. The hosts, Tenzin di and her husband, were incredibly caring and always looked after us with so much warmth. Their lovely kids often played with our 2-year-old son, which made the stay even more special...

This is a small this property house run by a family who have a heart of gold. The house is very spacious unlike other nearby hotels. The meals were had here where delicious and served with lot of love. I really like their dining room. The rooms were neat and clean and we slept comfortably. Looking forward to come again.

heavenly place. rooms and tent both are great. the stay run by family mainly by a woman. she’s super cute, humble, hardworking and wont let you feel uncomfortable. the family is beautiful. even the location is godly, you can see mountains at every direction. and the food was super super tasty. must stay at this place.

Getting there.

The nearest commercial airport is Leh (IXL), 245km away via Kargil. The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi, 600km away by road. Roads to Padum:

  • Kargil: 245km via Suru Valley. This is the standard route, open June-October.
  • Manali: 470km via Shingo La pass. This route is only open July-September and requires a 4x4. There are no fuel pumps for 200km on this route.

June to September. The road from Manali via Shingo La typically opens by July. Roads can close from late October.
