The first thing you notice is the sound. A low gurgle from the Jaldhaka River, flowing nearby. The home sits on a wide, neatly kept lawn that gives way to open fields and the riverbed beyond. From the long first-floor balcony, the view is vast and quiet. The home has three bedrooms, which are rented out individually to guests. Each room has its own attached bathroom, equipped with a geyser for hot water. The rooms are simply furnished, clean, and open onto the shared balcony, letting in the light and the view. As one guest, Gourav Samanta, put it, “If you’re looking for a peaceful, offbeat escape, this property is a gem. The location is unbeatable - you can hear the Jaldhaka River nearby and look out over a vast, quiet stretch of land.” This is very much a family home, run by Kalyan and Sunanda Pal. Guests often mention their warmth and the clean, well-maintained space. “There is not a speck of dust anywhere in the cottage, the rooms are clean and well maintained,” a past visitor wrote. While meals are not included with the stay, guests have access to the kitchen to prepare their own food. The property has on-site parking, Wi-Fi, and is both pet-friendly and kid-friendly. The real draw is the quiet and the proximity to nature. Another guest, Ismile Ali, said they “Enjoyed the proximity to nature in the wild, a gurgling river nearby and nightly elephant visits nearby.”
