A look around
What's here
Water trickles across smooth river stones at the edge of the property, where green coffee bushes give way to tall timber canopy trees. Built with rough-cut stone walls and a red-tiled gable roof, the single-room home sits directly on working plantation land near Somwarpet. Sun filters through the canopy onto an outdoor seating space where chairs look out over the garden. Inside, the interior layout keeps things simple. A single bedroom holds a king bed framed in dark timber, made up with white linens and folded towels. Windows look directly onto tree trunks and stone paths outside. The private bathroom offers modern plumbing with a water closet, tiled surfaces, and a dedicated shower area with hot water tap fittings. Stepping outside, a stone path winds past flowering garden beds toward an open seating circle. Here, a central fire pit built into the ground serves as the gathering spot for cool evenings. Heavy timber log cuts serve as stools around the fire, creating a simple place to sit under the stars as forest acoustics take over the night. A natural waterfall stream flows across the property, filling a small rock pool along the trail. The host family lives nearby on the estate and guides visitors through the land. Rather than leaving guests to walk alone, they share regular walks through the rows of coffee trees, explaining how coffee berries are grown, harvested, and processed. Guests can also learn how traditional homemade fruit wines are crafted on site. As one guest noted: "They took us around their coffee estate, showed us their private waterfalls, explained how coffee beans are harvested and processed, and even shared the preparation of their homemade wines." Meals are not included by default with the booking, but guests have kitchen access to prepare their own food. The hosts frequently introduce visitors to local family dishes, serving regional preparations like chicken curry, rice-flour Akki rotti, and regional desserts. Another past guest mentioned: "Chicken and Akki rotti was really yummy . P.s : Their dessert is worth it try". The cottage provides room for solo travelers seeking solitude or couples looking for a slow pause in the Co

We visited this homestay on Sep 7th, and the experience was truly memorable. Unlike many other homestays where staff take care of guests, here the owners themselves live nearby and personally hosted us with such warmth. They were extremely polite and humble, serving us with genuine care. They took us around their coffee estate, showed us their private water...
