  • Nearest Railhead: Rangapara North (280km) — the closest railhead for the Tawang side.
  • Road Hubs:
  • Bhalukpong (0km) — the gateway from Assam; permits checked here.
  • Bomdila (165km) — halfway to Tawang; an overnight stop.
  • Tawang (320km) — the monastery town; a 2-day drive from Guwahati via Sela Pass (4,170m).

Expect 8-10 hour drives between major stops due to mountain hairpins.
