A field-guide to Goa homestays.

Goa doesn't need an introduction, but most "best homestay in Goa" lists online are exactly that: lists, assembled from stock photos and syndicated listings, not places anyone from the site has actually stayed. Fursat takes the opposite approach here. Rather than pad out a directory, we currently carry two Goa properties, both real, both in Anjuna, and both picked because they solve a specific problem: finding one place big enough to hold an entire group without splitting across multiple hotel rooms.

If you're travelling as a couple or a small family, Goa has plenty of other options and we'd rather say so than stretch a two-listing catalog to look like more than it is. If you're bringing 15-28 people, for a wedding, a reunion, or a big milestone trip, that's exactly what both of Fursat's current Goa stays are built for.

Fursat's two Goa stays

Seclude Eco Cottages (Anjuna, between Anjuna and Vagator): a set of wooden cottages built around a shared pool, 14 bedrooms sleeping up to 28, with private balconies looking out over the palms. It's a short ride from North Goa's cafes and the Anjuna flea market. 4.8★ on Google from 155 reviews, ₹84,000/night for the whole property, which works out to roughly ₹3,000/guest/night at full occupancy, cheaper than a comparable block of hotel rooms once you count everyone in.

Krishna Dham by j7 Hotels and Resorts (Anjuna): a more straightforward resort-style deluxe room, 8 bedrooms sleeping up to 16, ₹32,000/night, aimed at groups who want a simple, no-frills base near the beach and flea market rather than a design-led villa. This one is new on Fursat and doesn't have Google reviews yet; we're not going to invent a rating for it.

North Goa geography, if you're deciding where to base

Both of Fursat's current Goa stays are in Anjuna, on North Goa's party-and-flea-market stretch, a good base if your group wants nightlife, beach clubs, and the Wednesday flea market within a short ride.

For context on the wider region: Vagator and Chapora (next door to Anjuna) add a quieter hilltop feel and the sunset crowd at Chapora Fort. Baga and Calangute are Goa's busiest, most built-up beach strip, further south. Assagao and Siolim are the inland village side, popular for restored Portuguese-house stays and a slower pace. South Goa (Palolem, Agonda, Colva) is a genuinely different, quieter trip, further from Fursat's current Anjuna base and better suited to smaller groups.

Fursat's two Goa listings run ₹32,000-84,000/night for the whole property, sized for 16 to 28 guests. Split across a full group, that's a genuinely competitive per-person rate against booking that many separate hotel rooms, especially once you factor in everyone actually being in one place.

Peak season (Christmas/New Year and the broader November-February window) is when both properties see the most demand; for a group booking of this size, confirming dates a few weeks out matters more here than for a single hotel room.

Best time to visit Goa

November to February is Goa's peak window: dry, warm (25-32°C), and the most reliable weather for a beach-based group trip. Also the most expensive and most booked-out, plan ahead.

October and March are shoulder months, still warm with occasional showers, and noticeably cheaper and less crowded than peak.

April-May turns hot and humid (35°C+) before the monsoon. June-September is the monsoon: heavy rain, quiet beaches, and some beach shacks closed for the season, better for a quieter trip than a party one.

Things to do from an Anjuna base

Anjuna flea market (Wednesdays) is the area's best-known market, a short walk or ride from both Fursat stays.

Vagator and Chapora Fort, for the sunset view over the Chapora river mouth, a short ride away.

Assagao and Mapusa, for the inland café scene and Mapusa's Friday market.

Baga and Calangute beaches, for Goa's busiest beach-club strip if your group wants that over Anjuna's quieter shoreline.

Morjim, north along the coast, known for its quieter beach and Olive Ridley turtle nesting season (roughly November-March).
