The paragliding landing site is just a short walk down the lane from the front gate. You can watch pilots bring down their colorful chutes continuously throughout October and November, or walk over to book tandem flights with local operators.

Surrounding the neighborhood are quiet walking paths that cut through local tea plantations and small Himachali hamlets. Main street cafes, tea stalls, and craft shops sit within easy walking distance.

For longer day trips, the Dalai Lama's residence and the Tsuglagkhang complex in McLeodganj sit a two-hour drive away. If you plan to head further north, the 9km Atal Tunnel connects the Kullu valley to Lahaul year-round.

Dharamshala Gaggal Airport (DHM) is the closest airport, located about 67 km from Bir, taking roughly two hours by taxi. For broader flight connectivity, Chandigarh International Airport (IXC) serves as the primary gateway on the plains.

Pathankot is the nearest major broad-gauge railway station for travelers arriving by train from Delhi or Punjab. Alternatively, the UNESCO heritage toy train runs from Kalka up toward Shimla for a scenic mountain rail experience.

Local taxis can be arranged directly through Bhuvan and Sharmila for pickup from the airport or railway station, as well as for local sightseeing around the Kangra valley.
