The best time to visit this part of the Western Himalaya is during the snow-melt to summer months (March-June) and the clear sky months (September-November). The monsoon season (July-August) can bring landslides on NH-3 and NH-21. Snow is common from December-February in the upper sections of Manali, Shimla, and Dharamshala.
