The home is surrounded by forest, with jungle trails starting right from the property. A short walk through the pines leads to the Naldehra golf course, one of the oldest in India.
The state capital, Shimla, is a drive away. You can spend a day exploring the colonial architecture of the Viceregal Lodge, walking down the Mall Road, or visiting the Jakhu Temple with its large Hanuman statue. For a different approach to Shimla, take the UNESCO-listed Kalka-Shimla toy train, a slow, scenic journey through more than a hundred tunnels.

By Rail: The nearest major railway station is in Kalka, which connects to the toy train line to Shimla. Chandigarh (CDG) is the closest mainline station with connections to all major Indian cities.
By Road: Naldehra is well-connected by road from Shimla and Chandigarh. Taxis are readily available from both cities. Be prepared for winding, single-lane hill roads.
Best time to visit.
The best time to visit Naldehra is from March to June, when the weather is pleasant and the snow has melted. A second window opens from September to November, with clear skies and crisp air after the monsoon. The monsoon months of July and August see heavy rainfall and can cause landslides on the highways. Winters, from December to February, are cold, with a chance of snowfall.
