By Air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport (DED) in Dehradun, which serves the Garhwal region. From the airport, you can hire a taxi for the onward mountain journey.
By Rail: The closest major railhead is Haridwar (HW). It is well-connected to major Indian cities. Taxis are readily available at the station for the trip into the hills.
By Road: Rishikesh is the main road hub for the Garhwal region. The home is accessible by road from Rishikesh. Main roads are generally paved, but the final approach to some mountain homes can be on unpaved roads.
The region is pleasant year-round. The clearest skies and best weather for views are found from March to June and again from September to November. The monsoon months of July and August bring lush greenery but also the risk of landslides on mountain roads. Higher altitude destinations nearby may close due to heavy snowfall from December to February.
